OCR Systems licenses its optical character recognition (OCR) technologyin the form of its ReadRight Developer Toolkit for document imagemanagement software developers and value-added resellers. Having beendeveloped in ANSI C, the modules are available in three subsystems. Thetext recognition subsystem offers omnifont recognition of typeset,typewritten, laserprinted, and NLQ and draft-quality dot-matrix text in awide variety of font styles and sizes and a range of layouts.The page decomposition subsystem provides fully automatic processing ofpages, including text mixed with graphics. The format recognitionsubsystem recognizes, and encodes in the output, format attributesalignment and coordinates for all words.
